Lee's Quilt

Here is another quilt that Lee made for his wife Rosanne.  This is his second quilt that he has made.  Turned out beautiful.  I quilted "Ground Cover" on it.  Love the texture it gave the quilt.

I hope you had a great Easter.  It was a beautiful day here. Lots of sunshine.

Happy Quilting!

Mary's Quilt

This quilt was made by a new customer of mine, Mary.  She made this beautiful quilt for her daughter, Ginger's birthday.  She lovingly calls this her "Arty Party" quilt and boy did a lot of work go into this baby.  She started it on January 5, 2013 and if I had guessed how long this quilt took I would have guessed 2 years!  It had a ton of hand stitiching on it.  Just gorgeous little flowers that I could only dream of stitching and randomly placed throughout the quilt.  And get this....she is new to quilting.  I believe this is her first quilt and she made it up as she went. I decided to add to her "Arty Party" with a lot of different styles of quilting.  Here are some pictures.
She is going to stitch some flowers on this large yellow block.  That's why it looks so plain compared to the rest of the quilt.
Check out that handstitched bouquet of flowers.  Amazing!!!!
 And a wreath with flowers.
And these sweet little birdies sitting on a branch!

 Some cute yo yo's.

And she made these three pillow shams to go with it so we decided to quilt all three differently.

This plain swirl sham will have flowers embellishments when she is finished.  I just had so much fun quilting this quilt.  It was a little intimidating but I just tried to not over think it and I absolutely love the result.

Mary, thank you so much for letting me be a part of this very special heirloom quilt that you created for your daughter.  Just amazing!

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a look.

Ann's Quilt

Here is a quilt that Ann made in our Tula Pink class last summer at Stash.  I really enjoyed meeting her at our class and I was having some serious envy over her quilt the whole time I was making my own.  I absolutely love how she used the purple background instead of the white or cream background that a lot of us did.  Really turned out amazing.  She added some borders to make it large enough to fit on her bed.  We decided on a simple pantograph "Honeycomb" on this one.  It really turned out beautiful!

These fabrics are "The Birds and the Bees" by Tula Pink.  Thanks so much for letting me quilt this for you Ann!  It was a lot of fun.

Happy Quilting!

Mary's Quilt

Mary made another Ballerina quilt out of Tula Pink Saltwater fabric with Julie Herman's pattern at Jaybird Quilts.  I absolutely love this version.  Can't go wrong with this pattern and fabric combo for sure!

I hope you had a fun weekend and were able to take some time to sew.  I know I did a lot of quilting this weekend!  Have a good week and Happy Quilting!

Ann's Quilt #2

Isn't this simple snowflake quilt gorgeous?  I quilted a very simple "Baptist Fan" on it.  Didn't want to distract from all her piecing.  Little tiny squares.

Hope you're having a happy Friday.  Get ready to sew for the weekend!

Happy quilting!

Ann's Quilt

This lovely quilt belongs to Ann at Stash.  The fabrics were so very calming and oh so soft.  I quilted a new pantograph called "Retro" on it.

Thanks for letting me quilt this for you Ann!  I have one more of Ann's quilts to show you tomorrow.

Have a great day!

Midge's Quilts

Here are a couple of quilts that I machine quilted for Midge. Midge has only been quilting for about 1-1/2 years and her piecing is amazing.  Both of these quilts laid perfectly flat with no bumps at all.  I quilted "Spiral Squares" on this first one.

And "Plaza" on this one.  Turned out really pretty.

Thanks for letting me quilt these for you Midge.  Hope everyone is having a good week so far! I had a busy weekend sewing and quilting.

Science Fair

I'm very pleased to show you this quilt.  It's called "Science Fair" by Julie Herman of Jaybird Quilts.  I made it from a jelly roll of "Simply Color" by V. Christenson.  The background blue is an ombre fabric from the same line of fabric.  It kind of reminded me of water going into the sea so I quilted the water going down to the bottom of the ocean.  I used two pieces of Quilter's Dream Batting and So Fine thread.  I have to say that So Fine thread is my new friend.  I'm going to trade all of my thread out for it eventually.  Love how it quilts up.

I used Angela Walter's  book as a reference to figure out this center blocks and the pattern had some really nice pictures.  I learn so much from her.  I'm currently taking her Feathers class on Craftsy.  She is one talented lady for sure!

Thanks for taking a peek today.  Happy Friday to you and I hope you find some time to do some quilting this weekend.

Marilyn's Snowman Quilt

Marilyn made this adorable little snowman quilt.  Isn't it cute how the snowmen look like they are tucked under the quilt?  I did some custom swirls and some other fun designs.  I love how this one came out.

Beautiful!  Happy quilting!

Marilyn and Mary's Quilt

Marilyn and Mary made this Ballerina quilt for a dear friend who they had the pleasure of going on a golfing vacation with.  They wanted to make something really special for her.  I think they did an amazing job.  This pattern is by Julie Herman of Jaybird Quilts.  The fabric is Moda "Little Black Dress".  They wanted feathers and pebbles.

Created a lot of nice texture.  Thanks for stopping by and Happy Quilting!
