Cathy's Quilt

This is Cathy's Quilt.  It's a classic Lone Star quilt called Nellie's Star.  It was designed by Laurie Gustafson and featured in McCalls Quilting magazine in 2010.  The fabrics she used were very calming and kind of had an old fashioned look to them so we decided to quilt "Baptist Fans" on it.  I like how the back turned out too.

This is my Aunt Jan's table runner.  She went to Sew Expo in Seatle this month and purchased this ruler from Sew Kind of Wonderful's Jenny Pedigo (You can get this ruler here at sewkindofwonderful.blogspot.com).  She quickly made up this table runner and brought it over for me to quilt.  She made hers out of batik fabrics.  It's very springy and will look wonderful on her table.

I started piecing a really cool quilt last night from Tula Pink's new book.  It's called "Cloudy Days" and I'm using her line of fabric called "Prince Charming"  It is so fun and I stayed up way too late last night piecing it.  I"ll share some pictures soon of my progress.

Have a great day sewing today....I know I will.  Happy Quilting!
