Quilt Block of the Month

I finally finished quilting my quilt block of the month that I did last year.  I quilted an allover feather pantograph on it.  It was my first attempt at quilting a pantograph and I think it turned out pretty nice.  It was made from Wiscasset by Polly Minick and Lauri Simpson for Moda fabics.

I also finished this little wall quilt.  It was made from charm squares by Lilac Hill by Brannock and Patek for Moda Fabrics.  I quilted an all over feather pattern on this one too but the feathers were really little.  It was a pantograph.  Turned out nice though but took a lot of time to do.  I hope I can free hand these feathers one day.  Maybe in a year or two.  Ha!

Well, back to some more sewing today.  I took a few days off of work so I get to play with my quilts.  Fun!  Thank you for looking.

  1. Great all-over feather! Did you mark your spin before hand, so you know where to go?

  4. Well I feel silly. I have a long arm and have never heard the term "mark your spin" ??? What does that mean.
