My Favorite Quilt Shop! Stash

I want to tell you about a wonderful quilt shop called Stash that I found about three years ago in Walla Walla, Washington.  It's about 2 hours from my house but I make it there several times a year because I love it so much.  When you walk into this quilt shop you just feel the inspiration all around you.  There are a ton of projects made up in different kinds of fabrics so that you can picture what your project is going to look like.  I  just love that.  You may notice that several of these quilts hanging in the shop I have had the pleasure to quilt for the ladies of Stash.  This first one is "Kiss Kiss" by Tula Pink made with her fabrics "Night Shade".  This quilt was made by Kristen, one of the owners of Stash.  She co-owns this shop with two other wonderful friends, Kathy and Ann. They all have sew much fun running this shop and you can totally see it in their passion for making this shop the best it can be.

Here are some more shots of this wonderful shop.

Look at the selection of pre-cuts they have.  You just don't see that every day.
And lookie here....I think that "Rain Drop" quilt just might belong to me!  Can you believe it?  It's hanging on display.  It was so exciting for me to see it there.  Thanks Kristen, Kathy and Ann for hanging it up.
And here is Tula's "Stacks" quilt that she taught us how to make on Saturday all quilted up by the wonderful Angela Walters.  Tula sent it ahead of time so it could be displayed at Stash for the Tula Experience.

Wow, I sure did have a fun weekend.  I can't stop thinking of all the laughs, fun times sewing, and meeting so many new, wonderful quilting friends.  Thank you Stash for bringing Tula to Walla Walla for this event and for all you do at your quilt shop.  You're truly an inspiration to many quilters!

Happy Quilting!

Tula Pink!

I had the most wonderful weekend!  I got to meet and attend a workshop/lecture featuring the great Tula Pink.  I was in awe of her and still can't believe I got to meet her.  Kristen, Kathy and Ann over at my favorite quilt shop, Stash, were able to get Tula to come to Walla Walla.  She is a kick to hang out with. So sweet and she is so fun to talk with. Tula has a wonderful smile and I absolutely love her passion for quilting.  It shows in her work for sure!  The Stash Girls really put on an awesome event. They had cake and snacks and of course, Wine!  So much fun.

Look at how cute Tula is!  So friendly and nice!

Here she is teaching our class on her Stacks quilt out of her book.  If you don't own her book I strongly suggest you get it.  This is my second quilt I've made out of her book and they are very easy to understand and make.

Her Cartwheel quilt made with "The Birds and the Bees".  Tula makes all of her own quilts and I must say they are just perfect!  Couldn't stop looking at them and taking pictures.  The wonderul Angela Walters does all of her custom machine quilting.  I thought it was so gorgeous in pictures but when you actually see a quilt she has done in person, it is breathtaking.

This is Tula's newest pattern "Space Dust"  It is a paper piecing pattern.  It's on my bucket list to do sometime soon!  Absolutley amazing!!!!!
 The fabulous quilting!
Just a wonderful weekend.  I can't thank Tula enough or Kristen, Kathy and Ann from Stash!  What a wonderful event that you all put on.  I couldn't stop smiling I had so much fun!  I will be back tomorrow to show you some neat pictures of my favorite quilt shop!

Have a wonderful day and happy quilting!

Eva's Quilts

Here are two more quilts from Eva.  She is a very busy quilter for only learning how to quilt last November.  Can you believe this?  She is very good at it....I would say a natural and she is already addicted to it.  We all knew that would happen.  Who doesn't become addicted to quilting once you start?  It's just too much fun.  Anyway, this first quilt is called French Roses.  I quilted a little paisley design in the background and then just quilted a bit around her raw edge applique.  Turned out adorable.

This quilt is called Daisy Chain and was made with a jelly roll.  I quilted "Paisley Playtime" on it and love how this turned out too!

Way to go Eva!  Keep on quilting!  Have a great day!

Becky's Quilt

Becky made this beautiful little star quilt.  She asked for some custom quilting on this one.  I really love how this turned out.  Becky did a great job picking colors for her quilt.  Just went together so beautiful.

Hope you're having a great week.  Happy Quilting!

One More for Chris

Okay so this is quilt number 4 for Chris.  This fabric was really cool...the cream areas were a city map.  I quilted wavy lines on it.

Turned out pretty.  Love how the back looked.  Hope you're having a great weekend.  Happy Quilting.

Chris' Quilt

Here is another quilt I custom quilted for Chris.  These fabrics were so pretty and I thought it would be cool to add some flowers so I custom quilted these blooming flowers all over it.  I also used two pieces of batting and it really made the quilting stand out.

The back was really pretty too....love all the texture it created.  Thanks for stopping by and Happy Quilting!

Chris' Quilts

Here are a couple quilts I machine quilted for Chris.  She wanted them to look like fall leaves.  The colors of her fabrics were just so bright and happy.  I quilted "Ground Cover" on both the wall quilt and a small table runner.

Hope you're having a good week.  Happy Quilting!
