Pat's Quilt is Done!

This is Pat's quilt.  Isn't it beautiful?  She did a wonderful job piecing it together and the colors are
so beautiful.

I quilted some swirls, feathers, pebbles, and a little stippling all over it.  I used a varigated thread and it sure blended nicely.   Thanks, Pat for letting me quilt for you.  Thanks for looking.

Enough Already With The Pebbles

Okay....here is one more quilt that I made practicing some more pebbles and feathers.  I think I'm getting a little better at them but they sure do take a long time to do.  This little wall quilt was made from a pattern in the Quilts and More Magazine - April 2011.  It's called "Little Sprouts".  It is suppossed to be a baby quilt but I think it will look great on a wall.

Okay....I promise something really different on the next post.  Thank you so much for looking.  You truly inspire me to keep going.

Central Park Table Runner

Does this look familiar?  I made another one of these table runners this time in the Moda Central Park by Kate Spain.  I practiced some more of my pebbles and I actually did a border of feathers freehand and some feathers around the flower blocks.  I think they turned out pretty cute.  I hope you can see them.

Thanks for looking!

Quilt Block of the Month

I finally finished quilting my quilt block of the month that I did last year.  I quilted an allover feather pantograph on it.  It was my first attempt at quilting a pantograph and I think it turned out pretty nice.  It was made from Wiscasset by Polly Minick and Lauri Simpson for Moda fabics.

I also finished this little wall quilt.  It was made from charm squares by Lilac Hill by Brannock and Patek for Moda Fabrics.  I quilted an all over feather pattern on this one too but the feathers were really little.  It was a pantograph.  Turned out nice though but took a lot of time to do.  I hope I can free hand these feathers one day.  Maybe in a year or two.  Ha!

Well, back to some more sewing today.  I took a few days off of work so I get to play with my quilts.  Fun!  Thank you for looking.

Flower Table Runner

Here is my latest project.  It is a flower table runner and I practiced doing pebbles on it.

What do you think?  Do you like my pebbles?  They sure were fun to do and it kind of made the flower pop out.  Thanks for looking.

Ashley's Quilt

I finished Ashley's quilt this weekend...it turned out so beautiful and I hope she loves it. It going to be a wedding gift for Ashley and Justin in June. I quilted some swirls in the center of the hexagons and some swirls in the border. It was my first try at swirls in the border and I think they turned out really neat.

Can you see the swirls? I sure hope so because I'm pretty proud of them. My photography is not the best but you will have over look that. I'm a quilter not a photographer. Ha! Thanks for looking.

Happy Anniversary

Look what my wonderful husband got me today for our 25th wedding anniversary. 25 Red Roses! Pretty cool, huh? He has brought me roses or had them delivered to me every year we have been married. It started out with one red rose (that is about all we could afford) and then he added a rose every year. Isn't that sweet?

Here is a picture of the table runner I finished on Sunday. I tried to get a close up of the swirls I quilted on it. I think it looks pretty cool.

Thanks for looking.
