Check out this beauty that Kristen from Stash made for a block of the month club starting in March. It is called "Toes in the Sand" and is a pattern by Julie Herman of Jaybird Quilts. Kristen made her quilt from fabrics by Tula Pink called "Saltwater" and she wanted it to look beachy or have a water feel to it. I quilted wavy lines and diagonal lines in the blocks. Here are some pictures. Sorry I went a little overboard on the pictures but I love this quilt!
Hope you enjoyed the show! I made this quilt up too and hope to quilt it soon. If you haven't checked out this pattern yet, I highly suggest you do. One warning though.....it's addictive. I made my quilt in two weeks because I couldn't stop. Another tip....It calls for 51 fat eights and I made mine with a bundle of 40 fat eights. Just use some of the little pieces leftover. Works out great and I had scraps to spare.
Happy Quilting!
Teresa
