Quilt Market

Okay....so I'm back from Quilt Market and boy was it fun!  My pictures are pretty crazy and not really in order but  you will just have to bear with me.  I want to share with you and I've been running low on time.  So here it goes.  Here I am walking into quilt market.

This is Kristen from Stash and me standing by Kristen's quilt she made and I quilted for her.  It is a quilt she made as a pattern tester for Patty Young.  It was displayed in the Moda Booth!!!!  We were both very excited to have our quilt on display.
Look at this adorable camper display for a new Moda Fabric line called "Glamping"  too cute!
I was on the look out for Jaybird Quilts.  There were several on display.
Jaybird's new pattern pattern coming out called Traffic.  The quilting was beautiful on this one.  Another great job by Angela Walters
Another one here:  Science Project.  Love it!

Patty Young in her booth.  She was so cute and nice!  Glad to have met her.
Oh and lookie here....this is one of my very favorite fellow long arm quilters, Jenny Pedigo of Sew Kind of Wonderful.  She created the Quick Curve Ruler and she was so sweet to meet.  Her quilting is amazing and she has been so helpful to me with my long arm quilting adventures.  Thank you Jenny!
This is one amazing quilt that she designed and quilted.  You really need to pop over to her blog and check it out.  Amazing!!!!
Here is Ty Pennington. We were lucky enough to get our picture with him.
And a sweet picture of Julie Herman of Jaybird Quilts demonstrating her new Hex ruler.  I already have mine and just need some time to cut something out sew.  She is genius!
This is Jenny's sister Helen.  She is also very talented like the fabulous Jenny and together they are designing patterns to go with the Quick Curve Ruler.  Here is one of Helen's designs.  Absolutely loved it!  Her quilting was fabulous too.

Here is one of Tula Pink's new patterns with her new fabric line Salt Water.  This fabric line is going to be a must have.
Natalia Bonner's quilt from her book.  She is from Piece n Quilt.  This quilt is fabulous.
 Another Tula Pink Quilt

And the great Tula Pink!  I really enjoy her.  She is just fun.  Her booth was amazing.
This is her new quilt called Hex on the Beach.  She is going to have Hex kits for sale with pre-cut hexagons ready to sew into this fun quilt.  She hand pieced this baby in a couple weeks I believe. It was amazing.  I have no idea how she was able to pull that off but I'm sure glad she did.  Love it!
And look at me....I was so lucky to get one of Julie Herman's books signed by her.  I just love all that she does and it was really fun to meet her.  She is wonderful.  Such a talented lady.  I'm just waiting for her to design some fabric.  I'm sure that will be coming one day.

And last I must show a picture of my sweet cousin Laura!  We had such a fun time together laughing and she was able to meet Kristen from Stash.  All of us girls had a ton of fun. Laura really loved this Bernina!  Look
at her giving it a hug.

Oh and I can't forget....I finally got to meet Natalia in person.  She is just the sweetest.  She is responsible for me starting my long arm business.  She quilted the most beautiful quilt for me and I just asked her if she thought I should try it and she said to "Go for it".  I'm so grateful that she did.  Thanks, Natalia!  It was great meeting you.
Well, I hope you enjoyed all the pictures.  I sure had a lot of fun hanging out with Kristen and Laura and all the wonderful people in the quilting world.  Until next time.  Happy Quilting!

A Birthday Gift!

Shhhhh....don't tell my cousin Laura this is for her birthday present.  I'm going to give her this gift while we are at quilt market and I hope she doesn't look at my blog before I give it to her.  We have been making our gifts to give to each other for birthday's and Christmas gifts for probably 15 years or more now.  Doesn't have to be big....just a gift from the heart.

Laura has been so supportive of me and my quilting adventures over the years.  We both started quilting about the same time so we both love it!  Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.

Vikki's Quilt

Here is a quilt I machine quilted for Vikki.  I quilted an all over pantograph "Ground Cover" on this.  This pantograph is popular lately but it really looks great on a lot of quilts.

Hope you're having a good day.  Happy Quilting!  Leaving for Quilt market on Thursday.  Sew Excited!

Janet's Quilt

This is Janet's quilt.  Isn't if fabulous?  I love the blue against the black.  We decided on the pantograph "Bayside" for this one.  I love it!  She made this for her brother for Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look.  I appreciate it!

Chris' Quilt - Take 3

Okay, here is the last quilt I have to share for Chris, for now!  She has 3 more in the process.  She is a busy girl.  Anyway...this quilt is called "Leaky Pipes".  She used grunge fabric as the background and it looked like cement.  I quilted a lot of pebbles and some spider webs in the pipes.

I really love how this quilt turned out.  Thanks for letting me quilt this for you Chris.  I enjoyed it so much! Hope you're having a wonderful day!

Happy Quilting!

Chris' Quilt - Take 2

Here is another quilt for Chris.  Chris always makes the most interesting quilts.  I'm always excited when she emails me and lets me know she sending more.  They are very fun to work on.  I quilted "Interlocking Squares" on this one.  I think it was perfect for it.

Thanks for taking a look.  I will have one more to post for Chris hopefully tomorrow.  It's a good one!  I think you might want to come back and take a look.  Happy Quilting.

Chris' Quilt

Here is a little quilt that Chris made from the Moda fabric line "Little Black Dress".  I absolutely love how this one turned out.  Lots of fun quilting here.

Don't you just love all this texture.  I really love to get pictures when the light hits the quilt just right.  Hope  you're having a fabulous Saturday and getting a lot of quilting done.

Kristen's Quilt

I had the pleasure of working on this quilt for Kristen from Stash in Walla Walla.  She was a pattern tester for pattern and fabric designer Patty Young of ModKid.  Patty Young has several new Micro Mini patterns coming out soon and a new fabric line that is really fun!  You should really go check out her blog.  Her new fabric called Textured Basics and has some really fun prints coming out soon.  My favorite is the houndstooth print.  Love it!   I quilted lots of free hand swirls and some straight lines in the houndstooth blocks.  Love how much texture it had.

Thanks again, Kristen for letting me be a part of this fun quilt.  I really do love my job!  Look at the fabulous quilts people send me.  What could be better than that?  Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Ballerina Quilt is Done!

I'm so happy to share this quilt with you.  It's my very own quilt to cuddle under.  I used the Jaybird pattern "Ballerina" and Tula Pink's fabric "The Birds and the Bee's" along with some quilting inspiration from Angela Walters.  It turned out way better than I could have imagined.  I used one layer of Quilter's Dream Poly batting.  I wanted the quilt to be soft so I could snuggle under it this winter.  It is the perfect size!  Here are a lot of pictures because I couldn't stop taking them.  Just look at how cute this fabric is!

Squirrels as the backing!  Is that cute or what?  Tula Pink is an amazing fabric designer.  One of my very favorites!  Can't wait for her next line to come out called "Salt Water".  I'm definitely making something out of that.
Some more pictures with the light hitting it just right.  Ha! :)

And of course all foled up neatly on my cutting table.  Love this quilt so much!  If you haven't tried a Jaybird pattern before, I strongly suggest you do.  Her directions are very easy to follow and she always writes her patterns with all different size options.  I love that she does all the work for us!  Thanks for taking a look.  I hope you're having a good week.  Happy Quilting!
